Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Coverages Assigned Risk Rater platform ("Service"), operated by Coverages Assigned Risk Rater ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Coverages Assigned Risk Rater provides a web-based platform for generating commercial auto insurance quotes based on AIPSO rating manuals for supported states (currently NY, NJ, and CT). The Service includes guided rating forms, premium calculations, and PDF quote exports.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account
• Scrape, mine, or otherwise extract data from the Service by automated means

5. Rating Data & Accuracy

• Quotes generated by the Service are based on published AIPSO rating manuals and are provided for informational purposes
• While we strive for accuracy, quotes should be verified against official manual filings before binding coverage
• We are not an insurance carrier, broker, or agent and do not bind or issue policies
• Rate data is updated periodically; there may be a delay between filing effective dates and availability in the Service

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by Coverages Assigned Risk Rater and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service.

7. Subscription & Payment

• Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
• You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of your billing period
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coverages Assigned Risk Rater shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export or deletion of your data.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in New York County, New York.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
